97 posts · Joined 2012. #1 · Jul 26, 2012. Hi. Just bought a 2007 T5 2.5tdi and went to have it serviced at my local garage. Engine management light has come on and stayed on and they say it sounds noisy (rattly) and rough. Suggested it could be major problems.

I have had the oil filter housing gaskets changed ,dip stick gasket, turbo oil feed gasket , cam shaft pully seal and it still marks its territory. Not sure if i should just accept it is one of the joys of t4s

Hi had a friend just have a quick look at my engine in my 1996 t4 1.9 turbo diesel and he said that the turbo was not kicking in. we took the pipe connecting to the engine and that was not blocked and was clean and also checked the breather and air was coming out. it just doesnt seem to be working
T4 2.5 TDI engine not turning over - won't start. A few week or so ago I noticed that on a couple of occasions, the engine wasn't turning over when turning the ignition key, but it would do so on the second try. A few days ago, it wouldn't crank at all, and the battery voltage was down to about 11.5v, so I put it on charge for the day.
